At Cymellia House, we value the expressive nature of creative presentation. We are perfectionists, pioneering the world of books further.
Our Story Thus Far
Made for the tale of sisters Daphine and Lady Cymellia. One, an eloquent novelist infatuated with the great works of her time, the other a flamboyant and ardent romantic oil painter. Our company is inspired by the legend of these Sisters Winterbourne, through their imaginary works (1820 to 1866) and Willow Vine Library.
The two shared an ambitious goal of captivating readers and beholders alike with carefully curated books and artwork, sending them into transports of blissful delight. We, at Cymellia House, encourage our authors and artists to unveil their ideas in a creatively liberating environment, with the beholders' captivation driving them to make their work the best it can be.
This concept for the company came about in the year 2015. What followed were years of conceptualising and refining, and Cymellia House was officially established in September of 2020.
In this spirit, the Lady Cymellia's House will live on, and the ambitions of the sisters fulfilled to their highest degree. The sisters' tale is rooted in fiction, but what they symbolise is set deep in reality. Their time and ours is differentiated by the Classic House and the the Modern House.

Lady Cymellia
Desire
Cymellia was the most passionate; everything she did was with intensity, and in favour of her vivid imagination. The grandiose nature of her paintings was mirrored in the way she interacted with those around her.
Daphine
Eloquence
Easily the more well-spoken out of the sisters, Daphine ensured the way she came across to others left little room for confusion or misinterpretation. Such is the model of our written and spoken communication.
Athena
Quality
Athena, the librarian who offered the sisters their creative space, knew everything there was to know about book printing and binding as well. She would never settle for anything less than perfect.

Be aware of your story's genre, backdrop, universe. If your submission consists of multiple genres and backdrops, list them all, and not just the most prominent or primary. Should the work relate to another, list the title of such as well as shared themes in your query letter.

Our literary submissions guide is a indication of what we are currently looking for, but it does not mean one can’t send us a genre that isn’t mentioned specifically, or propose an entirely new idea for their art.
